Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Mutagenesis
نویسنده
چکیده
The important second part of the book, which is more cellular, concerns the cytoplasmic cytoskeleton and its potential relationship to the membrane. These subjects include the molecular architecture of the microvillus cytoskeleton, that of the placental microvilli, that of the brush border and its relationship to contractility, the involvement of membrane glycoproteins to attachment of microfilaments of microvilli, and finally the structural and functional relationship between the cytoskeleton and the membrane of the intestinal border. The final aspect of the book begins curiously with a chapter on Na+K+ATPase (a much-worked-on and reviewed basolateral enzyme) and then gets down to business on the immunoglobulin G Fc receptors of neonatal rat intestinal brush borders, the immunoglobulin G receptors, and co-transport systems in the membrane of the placenta. The book lacks material on the mode of assembly and processing of the brush border proteins, including their related DNA sequences, as well as the processes of endocytosis and membrane recycling which are among the areas of popular current research.

متن کاملMolecular mechanisms involved in multidrug resistance in breast cancer therapy
Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in women. Chemotherapy is the main strategy in the treatment of this disease especially in the advanced form of the disease. Despite the recent progress in the development of new chemotherapy, the effectiveness of these drugs has dramatically reduced due to multidrug resistance. The phenotype of multidrug resistance (MDR) can occur through different me...

Several factors have incentive role for study of aging which includes increasing of the average and maximum of human life span, the increase in percentage of elderly in the societies and proportion of the national expenditure utilized by them. The Recent views of aging indicating that aging is extremely a complex multifactorial process despite of earlier views about definite cause aging like ge...
متن کاملAnti-cancer effects and molecular mechanisms of sour tea (Hibiscus sabdariffa) in the human cellular model (A549) of lung cancer
Background and Aims: Lung cancer is one of the most common malignancies worldwide that despite the recent progress, its existing treatments have not sufficient efficiency, and scientists are always trying to find complementary therapies. Medicinal plants, such as sour tea, have attracted lots of attention due to their abundant antioxidant compounds. In the present study, in addition to assessin...
متن کاملCellular and Molecular Mechanisms Involved in Neuroinflammation after Acute Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury
Introduction: Spinal cord injury (SCI) following traumatic events is associated with the limited therapeutic options and sever complications, which can be partly due to inflammatory response. Therefore, this study aims to explore the role of inflammation in spinal cord injury. The findings showed that the pathological conditions of nervous system lead to activation of microglia, astrocyte, neut...
متن کاملComparison of Protamine 1 to Protamine 2 mRNA Ratio and YBX2 gene mRNA Content in Testicular Tissue of Fertile and Azoospermic Men
Background Although aberrant protamine (PRM) ratios have been observed in infertile men, the mechanisms that implicit the uncoupling of PRM1 and PRM2 expression remain unclear. To uncover these mechanisms, in this observational study we have compared the PRM1/PRM2 mRNA ratio and mRNA contents of two regulatory factors of these genes. MaterialsAndMethods In this experimental study, sampling was ...
